Cat Battles Abilities

You equip one ability and fire it with Q. There are 8 abilities in Cat Battles, and picking the right one for your playstyle is the single biggest edge you can give yourself.

A note on effects: the developer hasn't published official ability stats. The descriptions below are based on the in-game ability names and how they behave in play. We'll refine exact numbers as the community tests more.

Dash Mobility

A quick burst of speed in one direction. Use it to close the gap on an opponent or to escape the edge of the ring.

Pounce Offense

Lunge at a target to knock them back. Great for finishing off an opponent who is already near the edge.

Hiss Control

Let out a hiss that unsettles nearby opponents, buying you a moment to reposition.

Anchor Defense

Plant yourself so you cannot be pushed for a short time. Perfect when someone lines up a big hit on you near the edge.

Stomp Offense

Slam the ground to knock back every opponent around you. Strong in crowded brawls.

Catnip Buff

A short self-boost from catnip that sharpens your movement for a few seconds.

Fluff Up Defense

Puff up your fur to look bigger and resist knockback, making you harder to toss out.

Hairball Ranged

Spit a hairball as a ranged projectile to bother opponents from a safer distance.

Which ability should you use?

There's no single "best" ability — it depends on how you like to fight:
